Shhh! Have you ever noticed the SIDs of VHHH that end with "X" or "Y" (only available in AIRAC 2112 and after). Every night after 1500z, Hong Kong uses these noise abatement departure routes to allow Hong Kongers to sleep engine sound-free. Come and join us on this beautiful Saturday evening on 7 May, from 1200-1600z, to enjoy the beauty of Hong Kong's night skies, while the city slowly goes to sleep.

If you are using AIRAC earlier than 2112, please notify our controllers that night.
