Sheremetyevo International Airport (uuee)

Dear friends!

On January 6, the Moscow Air Traffic Control Center of the VATSIM network invites you to the first Real Ops event of the year, taking place at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.

Sheremetyevo was established in 1957 as a military airfield and opened to civil aviation just two years later. In 1959, it became the departure point for the USSR’s first regular international flight — to Berlin. Today, Sheremetyevo is Russia’s largest aviation hub and the home airport of Aeroflot, serving over 40 million passengers annually and connecting Moscow with dozens of countries worldwide.

The event will traditionally be held in the one-room control format: the Moscow ATC team will gather together at a computer club and, for five hours, provide full ATC coverage in accordance with the real-life schedule of the largest airport in Eastern Europe!

Please note that a slot booking system will be used, and slot-booked flights will have priority over non-booked traffic

Reminder about booking rules:
Pilots are allowed to change the nominated a/c type for the chosen flight for a similar one, e.g. change Airbus A32X family within the family types, or for Boeing 737 family
