VFR-Night in the Bremen FIR

VFR-Night is all about visual flying. Every sixth Friday from 19:30 to 22:00 local time, controllers open up selected airports within the Bremen FIR, bringing real VFR feeling to the VATSIM network.

This time, VFR-Night takes you to Schleswig-Holstein.
The region offers a long Baltic Sea and North Sea coast, beautiful islands, and endless inland scenery – the perfect setting for varied VFR flights. Recommended airfields include Sylt (EDXW), Flensburg (EDXF), Husum (EDXJ), St. Michael (EDXM), Grube (EDHB) and Lübeck (EDHL). Whether you’re gliding over Sylt’s beaches, exploring the North Frisian coastline, or approaching the city of Lübeck – you’ll get that true holiday feeling mixed with northern German charm right in the cockpit.

With each event, the location changes: sometimes it’s the coast with its islands, other times it’s the inland with lakes, rivers, and wide open landscapes. This keeps every VFR-Night varied, exciting, and unmistakably North German.
