We are pleased to introduce you our EUD Discovery Event!
This is a monthly event where two European airports host a city shuttle in collaboration with the VATEUD Event department. We will make sure to not only staff the aerodrome, but also staff the en-route positions during these events. The goal of the event is to promote smaller European airports so that you can discover them.

This first shuttle is between the German EDDW Bremen airport and the Italian LIRQ Florence airport. The event will take place on the 15th of April between 14z-17z.

Starting with Bremen airport, located on the left shoulder of Hamburg near the Northern sea. The approach of this airport will give you a stunning view over the beautiful city, including a lot of industry and warehouses near the Weser river. On the other end of our shuttle is the breath-taking Florence airport. This airport is located slightly above the centre of Italy, south of Bologna. This airport, surrounded by low but dangerous mountains which poses some problems. As the runway is facing the mountains, you can only land onto runway 05 and depart out of runway 23 (with some exceptions). The airport also requires a backtrack before departing or after landing. It is not recommended to fly without a slot as you will experience great delays
