Hello boys and girls!

2024 is coming, and why not to say good bye to 2023 by joining our final event for this year - a double turnaround! You may ask why "double"? Because this time we will be serving not only Samara Kurumoch (UWWW) airport for your turnaround flight from Moscow but also another beauty of Volga region - a gorgeous Kazan (UWKD), capital of Tatartstan republic!

The event starts in Moscow Sheremetyevo (UUEE) airport where the 1st team of our controllers will serve your departures from 14:00 UTC to 17:00 UTC. Arrivals to Samara and Kazan, as well as departures back to Moscow, will be served from 15:00 UTC to 19:00 UTC. Finally, the 2nd team will start its shift in Moscow and will be online from 17:00 UTC to 20:00 UTC to meet all the pilots making turnarounds back to the capital of Russia.

And how can we say good bye to 2023 and say hello to 2024 without giving XMas and NY presents? So, we have three 25 Euros gift vouchers for SimMarket.com waiting for three lucky pilots participated in the event - we will pick our winners shortly after!

There are six easy steps to join the "battle":

join the event of course (we will record all IDs participated)
avoid "radio checks" and other unnecessary stuff on a busy frequency (if ATC does not read you properly, or you don't read the ATC - it will be obvious thing anyway)
do a turnaround flight either to Samara or Kazan using the suggested routes and making all departures and arrivals in time
fully control your aircraft, get the charts ready and comply with all ATC instructions during the event (don't screw it up, we will be watching you all the time!)
join VATRUS Discord at discord.vatrus.info - we will announce our winners there in a few days after the event (check the #News channel)
just wait and see if you are lucky enough to win!

As usual, we suggest to get a few tons of extra fuel on board in case of delays and to avoid interrupting each other on frequency - remember the golden rule of 5 seconds wait before transmitting anything to the frequency you just joined. Also be ready for proper winter operations (yes, we still have a real winter in Russia), like pre-flight de-icing procedure (all airports have their own special areas for that, just tell ATC in advance that you need de-icing) and use of icing protections of your aircraft.

Enough words for now. See you in the virtual sky very soon!
